copy activities

A trip to Imperia is worthwhile at any time of the year. There is hardly any other region that offers attractive opportunities for all kinds of leisure activities all year round.

Summer is of course the ideal time for a carefree bathing holiday and all kinds of water sports on the warm Mediterranean Sea. However, the geographic location with the Maritime Alps close to the coast allows many opportunities for active leisure activities in the mountainous hinterland, where you can quickly reach cooler heights.

In spring and autumn, the region is ideal for hiking, biking or golfing, for example, although we often went swimming in the sea at the beginning of November.

Even in winter you're often out and about in a T-shirt during the day and the days like to reach the almost 20 degree mark.

Local Pasta Cooking Class

In nearby San Remo (35 min drive) you will prepare traditional, handmade pasta with a local cook, which you can then eat yourself. During the leisurely preparation and cooking, they will learn some funny expressions, sayings and stories about pasta. And after the holiday, your friends will be keen to enjoy the pasta they have made themselves at home.

Cycling by the sea

Imperia is right on the Pista Ciclabile. At 36 km, this new cycle path is one of the longest in Europe - and is constantly being expanded. The path runs on the old railway line Genoa-Ventimiglia (the railway was moved inland in 2001) and runs directly along the coast, often very close to the sea. Bikes can of course be hired.

Restaurants to enjoy

In and around Imperia there are great restaurants in all price ranges, with your feet in the sand, a wonderful sea view or in the winding streets of the old town.
