getting there
Imperia is very well connected in terms of transport and it is easy and comfortable to arrive by car, train, bus or plane. However, Casa Albero is located above Imperia-Oneglia and public transport does not reach the house directly. We therefore strongly advise you to use your own means of transport during your holiday, for example a car, motorbike or scooter - for a stress-free holiday we refrain from purely public transport.
Arrival by car
Imperia is located directly on the toll motorway A10/E80, the connection between Genoa and Ventimiglia (Nice). Coming from Genoa (east) leave the motorway at Imperia Est and drive about 15 minutes through Imperia Oneglia to the house. Even if you are coming from the western side (Nice, Ventimiglia) leave the motorway at Imperia Est and not at Imperia Ovest, as Google maps and many navigation systems show. This journey leads over the mountains above Porto Maurizio - this route is impassable, we do not recommend it.
Arrival plane
Imperia is located midway between Genoa and Nice. Flights to Genoa are often cheaper, but there are fewer connections. After Nice there are flights to many European cities, often several times a day.
Arrival bus
Flixbus stops right in Oneglia at the start of Via Don Abbo at Piazza Dante and offers connections to most European cities.
Mietwagen in Imperia
In Imperia gibt es kleinere lokale Anbieter von Mietwägen die zentrumsnah in Imperia Oneglia gelegen sind. Es empfiehlt sich eine frühe Buchung, da es ein beschränktes Angebot gibt.
